Bust a batten so my 4.0 is out of action and 4.4 was a little bit big. Especially at the end. Found it really challenging today. Still landed some stuff. I'm pretty broken. One more day then I can rest. ADDENDUM I got off the water straight after a wave landed on my head after hitting the lip. It was pretty nasty. My neck cracked when it happened and I was compressed into a deep squat whilst still in the straps. My left knee also popped and so I called it a day. Everything seemed fine until 1am. I woke up with knee pain severe enough that I couldn't sleep. Finally, I succumbed to some Advil and it became bearable. Dr. Jeff checked it out at the beach the next day. Most likely a medial meniscus tear. So I decided to take Sunday off. Maybe the rest of the trip if I am serious about playing the long game. The wind came up late at the Rock anyway so we left early and checked out Face Rock and Florence on the way home. Face Rock looked amazing but was a bit light. Florence was blowing like crazy but was fogged in with only 30-60 foot visibility but it looked like good sideshore direction. |
