I didn't sail. This is a gratitude post. Let's face it the last 12-18 months have not been easy. Hopefully you all rode it out and maintained your sanity. I was finally released from my prison (desk in my bedroom and a couple of nasty injuries that meant I couldn't escape the pandemic even if I wanted to) and got to spend some time in The Gorge. I worked a full 8 hours every day. Yes Mark I have a real job. :) but was able to get out after work for a sailing session and it was really really pleasurable. I did take some half days to sail The Rock In Pistol River which is a truly incredible sailing spot but not for the faint of heart.

The kids were with me for a couple of weeks before visiting their grandparents and finally they both really took to windsurfing. They sailed the marina which is knee to waist high and that allowed them to really relax and have fun.

After a year off my sailing wasn't too bad. What I found was that I could still do stuff but I had lost my consistency.

Hood River is such an amazing place. B&L showed me the local scene. Tuesday nights at The Ruins are insanely fun, I haven't danced so much in years. And big hugs to B&L for hosting and putting up with me and family for soooo long. You guys are truly amaze. Xxx
