Well, in the middle of the heatwave a small puff of wind came down the columbia. I rigged my 'big' sail and went out to play. Planing in the middle, but pretty lightly, so i focused on light wind freestyle. I did get a perfect planing duck tack on the inside and a nice starboard boomerang. :) Non planing I got lots of upwind 360 diablo sailducks (like a backwinded duck tack), i am getting them figured out. Scott said 'they look cool'. Yeah! I got a few clew first (cf) heli tacks and some fin first (ff) heli tacks on the nose of the board. I can only do them in really light wind, so i was stoked to be able to practice. There are multiple ways to get out of sailing ff, one of which is turning the tail of the board downwind; this is considered 'hard', so I have been working on this too. Anyhow, tons of fun playing around.
