I checked out one of Alissa's favorite wing sites. She even drove by to show me exactly where to launch from. I chose to check out BIB as well since I was hoping to windsurf too. BIB is currently too weedy to foil, especially near WW. I put up with it, but it was a pain. Then, I decided to drive back and check out Swantner again. Nobody was there and the chop was crashing into the seawall which made the launch seem sketchy, so I decided to go to Oleander instead to windsurf. I got everything all rigged up, but when I put the boom on, the inhaul rope snapped. NBD I thought to myself, I have line in the car. Unfortunately I could not get the broken old line out of the cleat in the boom clamp and I finally had to bail. Check your lines! Kind of frustrating since it was a lot of driving, but there has been zero wind in Austin.
