Rox McFoxyFox's WindLog for Thursday August 25, 2022

25th session in 2022
Sailed at The Hatch, of course
Wind from the W (mph)
        Average: 18
Rated a 8 of 10

Board: JP 85L Freestyle!
Sail: 4.2 S2 Maui Dragon
Fin: 17cm Freestyle
Suit: 3/2 Ion Short Arms Long Legs

Was super fun for a short while!  Really powered on 4.2. I was trying to figure out why i like 4.2 for freestyle so much. I think it is because the water is smoother since the wind is lighter, this way I can get more speed, not hitting big chop all the time.

I did so well with my cf spock attempts!  I am popping well onto the nose of the board and getting the downwind slides. I am so stoked!  I have been working on this for a long time. The only thing I am doing differently is ducking the sail and then going back upwind slightly to pop, so popping more upwind. When it goes well it feels dreamy smooth and fun.

Mani informed me he got a few cf spocks the other day, gotta catch up!

I got 1 really fun duck tack.

I saw McFancy getting her port duck jibes!  She looked so good I forgot that that is her hard side. Def go for the reverse duck jibes, McFancy, they are so easy & fun on the flat water on the inside. Good job!!!
