48 Cole Pk didn't look great and Luby's didn't sound great. I was still in an exploring mood (NB didn't work out Mon.) so I was considering Oso or even Laguna, but I didn't know if I could handle it. I wound up at TAMUCC. It was lonely but I met some people on the beach. Conditions pretty flat with a few steep ramps but generally hard to catch any swells on the way in. The direction was a little weird...acutally making you more likely to jump the backs of the swells on the way in rather than ride them. It might have just been the day, though, b/c I'm sure Cole Park was small too. There was some piece of equipment about a mile out that really freaked me out, and I got all overcautious about not falling in around it. I'm so weird like that. Inside the rocks is really shallow right now so I had to walk it almost past the breakwater to start. I enjoyed that good, unshadowed wind, but I do prefer being with other people. There is also the factor of me being spoiled, and I prefer the grass at Cole Park to the course sand there.
