Front-side wave riding!! Yay! Wasn't going to try any back loops today, but then the guy with the Trance showed up for my last session and was very competently throwing high altitude forwards, so I had to try something. (monkey see...monkey try something else that monkey is not too afraid of.) Still not getting enough rotation on the port side backies. Possibly because i'm trying to lead the rotation with the board instead of leading with my head. Not sure really...it's all a big blur. Lots of Gu Screw/Wave 360 attempts. Got air on them a couple of times, but there was not a whole lot in the rotation department. Confirmed Mike's theory that coming over the back of the slow waves with full speed is the way to go about this, since these were the best attempts, and allowed for entering the move at full speed and power. Decided i needed to try extending my front arm more on these attempts when I heard the sound of a mast slowly turning to mush. The mast was mine. Decided to call it a day. After showing L the Continent 7 videos of GSs and W360s, we came up with some good ideas for pre-exercises for the move, some of which can be done at Bird. I'll work on those.
