I got up @2 am to drive down to SPI just in time to register for the ABK clinic and check into the motel. Introductions and groupings followed by lecture by Andy Brandt on terminology and bad body posture habits. Wind was unsailable in the morning. 2 hour break for lunch and wind prayer. Then gybe lecture (set-up) in the afternoon by Derek Rijff. Very good, but a little drawn out. I went out after that and caught two small planing rides, but ended up way downwind. The wind then started to die. Spent a good chunk of time just trying to make it back to the instructors. The water is ridiculously shallow. My weed fin is hitting the bottom frequently and collecting weeds. Learned to set up and sail fin first a little. Thanksgiving meal was Whataburger, fries and fried apple pie. Miss the family. I fell asleep watching Elf on tv.
