Sailed at Epicene Point
Wind from the SSE (mph)
Board: '07 JP Freestyle 100
Sail: Ezzy Wave 5.0
Another repeat of the recent pattern of small puffies clearing way for the cranking wind an hour before sunset. Well, cranking in the way that it does at Epicene Point in the summer. Managed to toss off quite a few decent vulc attempts. still no go though. This board is the greatest! I'm very happy with it. Everyone should own a JP Freestyle board.
Completed the first gecko flaka on this board, and number 4 everrrr. It was a strange one; the nose didn't bury much at all, and I get all contorted and whatnot. Feels a bit like a cheat, but it seems to be the only way to do it when the mast track is set all the way back for better vulcanability.
Lots of people coming out of the woodwork expressing interest in windsurfing: 1) The A/C duct installer dude today who grew up surfing in CA. 2) Daniel from work who actually showed up at the lake today having not sailed in 7 years, when it was blowing south 30-40 at the lake (a day not unlike 2 weeks ago) 3) Gregarious Gwen from the dentist office who grew up in Corpus and used to sail at Girl. She'll be down there the 4th, using our condo and beginner gear (maybe). 4,5,6) Random people at the lake recently. 7) Maybe, (but likely not) the young punks in the wakeboarding boats that go by and I dazzle them with my amazing port tack vulc attempts.
I smell cooler weather ahead...

Are the hits from China, Israel, and Japan real? Or is ClustrMaps making those up? In any case, The Windlog: improves my geography, my vocabulary, and my windsurfing.
