Cranking! In the morning at Doug's Beach, I was told by Mike my gear was unsailable, and I should be "sorted" on his gear. He rigged an 80 liter wave board and a 4.0m2. Two years ago, I attempted to sail Brian's 72  liter and a 3.3m2 and sank to the bottom. Mike's is 30 liters less than my weight in kgs. I did not want to wuss out so I gave it a go. Surprisingly, I got into the straps and planing quickly. The problem was it was a very lively ride, and I could not hook into his harness lines, because they had a slight twist and I was hanging on for dear life. I made it 3/4 of the way out, before I tired out. I struggled back to the beach on the way in, and received supportive appause from my friends.

We then went to The Hatch in the afternoon. The wind was still high, and I watched Mike and Brian sail in the big wind and swell. Thankfully Bill joined us, and rigged up. That inspired me to rig up and get out. The 4.5m2 worked with the 110, as the wind was slowly wound down. I had fun, and the beer tasted great afterwards. Life is good here.
