Fun day overall. First I tried to teach Jennifer on my gear (due to her enthusiasm...not that I minded teaching her, but if I'd realized she'd have wanted to try I would have used a smaller sail so it would not be so hard, which I felt bad about). But she did well despite the non-beginner stuff. Maybe next time I can figure out better gear for teaching! Also gave her uncle a mini beach start lesson and he caught on right away. Later on I had a breakthrough on the gecko, figuring out the motion and orientation for the sail. I just can't seem to try too many without my feet hurting. B&Js afterward with Laura, Brian, Mike, Julie, Benjamin. Just like old times.

The real story of the weekend was the surf 9/1. Did a double sesh, first at the seawall, then rode with Brett and Clay out to Port A (meeting some others there as well). Nice, big, and clean once you got out, although it was a rough paddle. I loved watching the rides people were getting, even more than trying to catch rides myself! We were out all day! My shoulder is sore, and I'm hoping I didn't mess something up.
