I was so ready to sail. I have been following Hurricane Ike all week wondering where I was going to sail, and what it would be like. Turned out, Lake Travis was the place. Lots of people. Cloudy, but no rain. No real big wind and little gear, but it was nice just the same. Interestingly, it was very flat too. Not like the typical winter northerly.

A couple of jump jibes, a very ugly duck jibe, but mainly worked on my stance and had fun. The jybatorium was crowded and chaotic. I got  a crease in my sail when someone took a wide jibe and pinned me close to the shore and then he fell and let his rig go. It smacked and dragged across my sail. No hole. I am lucky it did not hit me, and I did not let it ruin my day. I enjoyed the crowd.

The winds died down after noon. I hoped it would build back up, but no such luck. I was tired anyway.
