The wind was teasing today, capping across the bay and gusting up, but never quite filling in enough for steady planing. I figured it would be a good day to work on gecko flakas. I went to Cole Park with Jennifer. Just worked on some "easy" light wind stuff, made hard by practicing on my bad side, in swells, and on my small board. I had several open scrapes before even starting, but cleaned them out well and no signs of flesh eating bacteria yet. We didn't stay long b/c it turned out to be too light for Jennifer to really kite, and the mosquitos were eating us alive in the park, even in the wind. It does not help that the grass on the slope is over waist high right now, even on the footpath.
