The wind was picking up when I got to WP, and my handheld windmeter read one gust of 25mph, so I rigged the 6.2m2. I rigged it the Andy B. method with very little downhaul and lots of extension. To cover myself,  I decided to take the big board. Initially, it worked well. I stayed upwind better than ususal. The rig was light and very easy to handle. I pulled off a duck gybe staying on a plane. But then the wind started to drop. I got one vulcan attempt in with one gust (the usual failure). Then, I shlogged for an hour. I saw Laura planing on the other side of the point. So, I bit the bullet, and re-rigged to the 6.8m2. It was better and got in a few more lame V attempts, but soon it was time to leave.
