Wind meters said nothing was happening at Port A, but I didn't have anything to do, so headed down there in the morning. There wasn't anything happening. Then got to Bird. The northerly wasn't all that strong, but looked promising. Took out the Kode 102 with the Titan 7.0, but that combo didn't really work. The main issue was the  undersized fin that didn't help me plane up and definitely wasn't helping me work upwind from the Worldwinds launch. I switched it out for a JP Supersport 118 and the bigger fin and board helped out a lot. In the beginning a lot of pumping was needed. The wind was shifty and in gusts. Around 1 or 2 it filled in and actually strengthened (I guess the front is slowly moving). Surreal to sail into the channel aka hottub and feel the warm water there. A few times I actually felt a warm breeze coming off the water. Then around 4, the rain started and of course the temperature had dropped by this time to 50, so I called it a day. Supposed to be wind tomorrow, but too cold for me by then. Goodbye Bird!
