Out early again. Big wind day at Dougs, but a little too much north in the gusts made for quite an experience but maybe not so much fun? Lots of people watching from the beach. I made three sessions with ample rest in between, each time hoping the conditions would have somehow changed, but they didn't. The north component meant outbound heading perpendicular to the swell with loads of holes and gusts and riding out massive winds followed by unhooking and trying to stay on a plane, well, you get the picture. Inbound you could ride the smooth swell and was almost so good you felt like turning around and heading back out. Completed a few swell jibes so I didn't look like a complete beginner out there, but definitely a day left to the experts. Later that afternoon Dougs was *averaging* 42, but I didn't see it myself.
