I finally got to kick off the rust, and rusty I was. Miller hits 75% of his vulcans, and starts nailing his starboard ones after his time away. For me, I get ten feet from shore I had an awesome slogapult (great term Bill). It still felt good just to finally sail. None of the advice I gleaned from video, forum, or dry land exercise seemed to help one bit on my vulcan attempts. It just lead to analysis paralysis. The new footstraps are keeping me attached to the board... maybe too attached. The new boom grip held up well so far. Mostly, I was just so happy to be on the water again and I sailed until dark. Wind peaked @ 5:15p, and shortly again @ 6:40p. I cannot wait until the wind returns.
