A nice way to end Thanksgiving weekend. I am thankful I stayed another day (thank you B&L) as the wind picked up a notch to let me really plane. A few gusts made the 6.9m2 feel like quite a handful.

It was officially a year ago that I made a verbal commitment to learn the Vulcan. Sadly, I am still a long way away from pulling one off. I did get in many more attempts today. Since this summer, I have had a major regression. I was starting to slide back then, and currently I am back to under-rotated crashes. It is amazing what a layoff from sailing can do. I am not sure if fear of breaking gear or myself is playing a subconscious role in this or not, but I did feel like today like I am finally back on the (long) road. I certainly did not feel anxious, and although it is frustrating, I was having a good time trying.

Both Mike and Eric independently told me I am not sticking the nose, so I need to make more of an effort picking up my back leg next time.

I hope that is soon. I am ready.
