Tropical Storm Hermine

1-hour after work session at the seawall. It looked big and kinda nuts, and there was an audience probably waiting for me and 4 kiters to wreck ourselves, but once on the water you realized it was actually pretty tame, no crazy currents like the hurricane surf. The waves provided steep, high jumps on the way out, but they were completely closing out throughout the whitewater, so no real good rides back in except for your outside jibe. Waves were over head but not as high as logo. N Packery would have been better, but i had heard a report the beach road was still closed and i didn't want to waste precious daylight time checking. I didn't learn til later that it had reopened by the evening and a couple people sailed there too.
