I saw Laura posted the wind was averaging 18mph, but I am not so sure. I was doing LWF almost all day. I was definitely feeling gravitaionally challenged. I only got planing a handful of times today. I had only one powered vulcan attempt. I tried another one barely planing and I ripped the skin off my right hand. Ouch! My hands went soft over the windless summer. I looked at iW and it said Gorgetown was 19-20mph gusting to 30! I guess the wind was just not getting all the way down to the water, which really should not be that suprising given the lake is so low.

B&L have certainly stepped up their game. Laura is now sailing comfortably backwinded. Brian is a S540 machine on port and he makes almost all is SBVs now. He ducks the sail more fluidly too. A month in The Gorge has paid off for them, and rumor has it they will be visiting again real soon.

The most remarkable thing today was what I saw at the shoreline at lunch. I saw 6 freestyle boards (3 Skates) lined up! This is the first time I have seen more freestyle boards than freeride, beginner, and formula boards combined. Times have changed.
