It was really, really windy today and everyone was at Cole Park, but I had not had a wave day in FOREVER and I didn't care that going out there meant I'd be the only windsurfer on the water. There were a few kiters down the beach but otherwise I was solita. The currents were strong today and waves over head high, actually the biggest I have ever sailed there other than a storm setting. I took out the GoPro and for the first time got actual usable footage, although sadly the memory card filled before this epic wipeout I had which ended up finishing my sesion because by the time I got my act together I was nearly to newport pass and was tired, so I sailed down to there left my gear at this frat party situation and ran up to fetch my car. It took 10 minutes to run less than a mile, illustrating how tired I was and what bad shape the beach was in, and the beach was just starting to toally flood, so between the time I parked at Newport Pass and the time I derigged, the water came up around my tires and was flooding people's BBQs, etc, and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I AM TIRED!!!
