Rain all-day Saturday, with clearing today by noon (that was the weekend forecast). The cold front brought central Texas much needed rain, but the wind was supposed to be here only during the night with some dregs leftover in the early morning with shut down by noon. Windy Point does not open until 9am, but the kiters were on the water when we arrived @ 9:10am. We had a pretty good gusty 45 minutes of wind, before it quickly backed off. The kiters came off the water (except one), probably feeling like they had milked all the wind for the day, but the wind did not die. It made a little comeback at 11:00, and a bigger one by 12:30. I missed the last one, since I was getting tired, and my buddies had left quite a while earlier. I have to say, that I enjoyed sailing in the cloudy/rainy conditions earlier in the morning.
