Finally back on the water! I almost bailed. When I got to the park, the poor kid at the guard shack had to listen to me grumble when he told me the "sandbar" was closed. For what?? I decided to soldier through. Dana the kiter came up to me while rigging and asked if I was going to sail the channel or the cove? Really? I explained that I am going to carry my gear to the closest waters edge. It was kind of treacherous in flip flops, but I made it out. I knew the forecast was 15mph max, so I had brought the 140/7.5 NCX. There was no way was I going to carry that gear down the steep enbankment.

Once on the water, I remembered why I love (and need) windsurfing. It was mostly LWF, but I did get a few planing runs in with 360s. I had the whole lake pratically to myself. Dana bailed. I probably would have too if I could call in sick, or skip work on Monday. I have had a lot of bad luck with timing of wind and free time. Hopefully my luck will change soon.
