Welcome back to Toxic City Levee, now aka Kiteville. I got depressed driving through Pasadena and Texas City thinking about the people who work and live here. I saw an infowars sticker on a car bumper and I can't believe that people here might see the government as a problem. The enviromental and worker regulations that keep them much safer from being exposed to horrible chemicals, dangerous working conditions, and pollution. The ablitiy to have access to public education, facilities, and the poorly understood importance of immigrant workers for this local economy. These are the people I fear that will get hurt the worst by our current government's insane choices. It was a warm pretty day as I sailed toward the levee and saw the smoke billowing horizontally out the stacks by the wind on the horizon. There were many kiters out on the water today, as many as I ever saw windsurfers here back in the heyday. The local kite shops have done an excellent job promoting their sport. The kiters were able to make the marginal wind work. I was limited to LWF. They win today.
