Surprise morning score! I slept in, it was cloudy, wet, and cool. I am having a lot of left foot pain, so when Jill told me she saw some kites out on the water looking out the window, I doubted it was even sailable and I thought I should rest my foot anyway. When I got up to look, I saw the kiters were doing a downwinder from Real Kitboarding just north of us. Once they passed, nobody else was out on the water confirming my thought it was not worth it. Jill went for a run, and although it was chilly, I talked myself into going out on the water to LWF. When I hit the water, the wind kicked up even stronger than yesterday afternoon. Although the air was cool, the water was nice and warm. It lasted for a couple of hours and then finally started to fade. The sun is now coming back and the temperature is starting to rise. It looks like a nice day to spend at the beach and later SUP to enjoy the weather. I love being able to sail from your back door. What a bonus! I normally would not have bothered to sail this morning, and so I would have missed out on a nice planing session.
