4am and wide wake from jet lag, looking at the wind forecast, I had an epiphany. I could actually fit in a quick session this morning before parental responsibilities!

8am I hit the water for possibly the best session I have ever had at Quintana. I know I only just used 'the best' superlative last week in Mauritius but everything was just working. Usually Quintana waves are one hit wonders, but I was getting 3-4 hits with reckless abandon as the soft waist high waves peeled down the beach. Then heading out I was hitting the steep outside breakers for big back loop attempts, throw in a few clean forwards, warm water and my own personal kit feeling so light and controlled and things were feeling pretty incredible.
