Gorgeous warm, clear day. The waves looked small, but sets were waist-high and great setup for practicing. You had to catch a set, because there was only chop in between. It helped that this is the first day I've felt 100% tuned in on my new Dragon sails. The sail has been a little jerky for me so far - light, but overly powerful and tough to feather off power. I feel like I've spent the season doing these terribly jerky jibes and living with sore wrists. I used a little more downhaul and the wind was also lighter. The sail responded well. I was able to smoothly bank all of my outside jibes and accelerate out of them right where I wanted to be on the wave. Also worked on tighter bottom turns. I appreciate having a learning/skill building day.
