I had planned on trying my first back loop on the foil as a celebration of 100 sesses. But, I think I've got the footstraps too wide and tall for that on this board. So I didn't try any for fear of my feet coming out of the straps.

As an alternative, I found myself getting forcefully bucked (like strong bull) off the board occasionally when I was getting a little too playful in the swell for my current skill level, resulting in me doing involutary back flips off the board and landing either head-first or neck-first.

The key to getting in the back strap while flying is to place the back foot in front of the back strap, with the front of the back strap touching the back side of the back foot. Then it's a quick and easy blind slide into the strap. Don't try to do it from having the back foot on the center line of the board.

A nice thing about foiling is that you are 2.9 feet taller so you can easily see if there is better swell lining up behind the most visible swell. So that makes me like 8 foot 9 inches tall...almost as tall as Mark.
