1st off CONGRATS McFancy for your upwind 360s. There is no doubt that they are hard to do! Infact, in the straps is easier, since you don't get yanked off the board. The principles are the same for the in-the-straps type, so get the non-planing version dialed in! I had a super freestyly day today! I took yesterday off, it was a strong out-east day. i am glad i rested up so that i had lots of energy today!! I did 7 duck tacks, 30 for the year. I am definitely getting something figured out!! I really worked hard on my clew 1st spocks. Getting a much better pop onto the nose and sliding (sideways mostly, but at least sliding). I am super stoked! Perfect freestyle day! Also, it was so light in the AM that no one showed up except Brad & Mani. Alex is working. |
